Cloudflare Deploys AI‑Powered Account Abuse Shield and Logic‑Flaw Scanner
Cloudflare has rolled out Account Abuse Protection, a service that fuses AI‑driven detection of malicious login activity with an expanded Log Explorer that now includes 14 additional data sets. Alongside this, the company introduced a new web and API vulnerability scanner that constructs call graphs to surface logic flaws that traditional scanners typically miss.
For defenders, the AI engine offers faster, more accurate identification of credential‑stuffing, password‑spraying, and session‑hijacking attempts on Cloudflare‑protected assets, while the richer log data provides deeper visibility for threat hunting. The call‑graph scanner fills a critical gap in API security, helping teams remediate logic bugs before they can be weaponized. Integration into existing Cloudflare dashboards streamlines deployment, but security teams should tune alerts and incorporate the new telemetry into their SOC processes to maximize protection.
